On the afternoon of July 22, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative Yu Jianhua and UAE Minister of Economy Sultan Al Mansouri jointly attended the UAE-China Economic Forum in Beijing.

In his speech, Yu Jianhua said that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China and the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and UAE. At this special historical moment, President Xi Jinping invited the Crown Prince Mohammed to visit China, and reached important consensus on the development of bilateral relations, pointing out the direction for deepening China-UAE economic and trade cooperation.

Yu Jianhua pointed out that China is a staunch defender of free trade and the multilateral trading system. President Xi Jinping has repeatedly stressed that China will only open wider and wider, and announced a series of major reform and opening up measures on different occasions. These measures are being implemented one by one and will bring more cooperation opportunities to the UAE and countries around the world.

Yu Jianhua emphasized that the two sides should conscientiously implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, promote the Belt and Road initiative, promote bilateral trade and investment, maintain the multilateral trade system, and carry out third-party market cooperation, thus continuously consolidating and developing China-UAE economic and trade relations.

Mansouri Alabbar, the Chairman of Emaar Properties and the representative of guests, made speeches respectively. About 300 people from the Chinese and UAE governments and business representatives attended the forum.
