China and Colombia Sign a Memorandum of Understanding on E-commerce Cooperation

On July 31, under the joint witness of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Colombian President Duque, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy China International Trade Representative Yu Jianhua, and Minister of Trade, Industry and Tourism of Colombia Restrepo signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Electronic Commerce Cooperation between the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism of the Republic of Colombia in Beijing.

According to the memorandum, the two sides will share experience in management and policy development, promote public-private dialogue, conduct joint research and personnel training, encourage enterprises to conduct e-commerce exchanges and cooperation, and promote the trade of high-quality specialty products in their respective countries through e-commerce.

In recent years, the friendly relations between China and Colombia have developed rapidly, the cooperation in various fields has continued to be deepened, and bilateral trade volume has continued to grow. The signing of the memorandum will further enhance the level of trade facilitation and cooperation between the two countries and inject new vitality into bilateral economic and trade relations.
